This indicator measures the total number of patients that completed an emergency department (ED) visit. The ED visit begins with the earlier of triage date/time or registration date/time and ends at the date/time when a patient is admitted to the hospital or discharged, transferred, or leaves the ED (non-admitted patients).

Among patients who had a surgery or procedure completed, this indicator measures the number of patients who had wait time measured, that is wait time, in days, from when the surgeon or central intake centre receives the referral to the patient having the first appointment with the surgeon.

The indicator is reported by the priority level with the most patients. Patients are assigned a priority level for their appointment by the physician based on clinical evidence.

This indicator measures the total number of patients who were treated with a surgery or procedure in Ontario. The number represents the total number of patients who had a decision with their surgeons to proceed with a surgery or procedure and had the surgery or procedure completed. Patients are assigned a priority level for their surgery by the physician based on clinical evidence. The number is reported based on the institution where the surgery took place.

This indicator measures the percentage of 7-year-olds who have received two valid doses of measles-containing vaccine or have documented evidence of immunity against measles at the conclusion of the school year (August 31st). Valid doses refer to doses of measles-containing vaccine that were given in accordance with the following criteria:

First valid dose administered on or after the first birthday and received on the same day or at least 28 days after any preceding live virus vaccine. Second valid dose administered at least 28 days after any preceding measles-containing vaccine (or any other live virus vaccine).

A higher percentage is better
