Welcome to the Ontario Health Indicator Library

The Ontario Health Indicator Library provides a fully searchable library of indicator profiles reported by OH and other entities. The library will feature indicator characteristics, including: the indicator definition, the rationale as to why (or why not) an indicator is reported, technical specifications, alignment information, information about data sources, and links to those sources. In addition to a keyword search, you can perform side-by-side comparisons of up to three indicators, based on different filters, such as sector, dimension, type, topic, and data source. You can also export the indicator definitions to a format of your choice.

Wait Times for Home Care Services	This is the median number of days that new clients of publicly funded home care, who are 19 years or older, waited for home care. It is measured from a request for services to their first home visit for those who applied in the community, or from hospital discharge to their first home visit for those who applied in the hospital. A lower number of days is better. Median is the midpoint of days waited; half the clients waited shorter times, half waited longer times. Use of Surgical Safety Checklist	This indicator measurs the percentage of surgeries in which a surgical safety checklist (SSC) was performed.
