Welcome to the Ontario Health Indicator Library

The Ontario Health Indicator Library provides a fully searchable library of indicator profiles reported by OH and other entities. The library will feature indicator characteristics, including: the indicator definition, the rationale as to why (or why not) an indicator is reported, technical specifications, alignment information, information about data sources, and links to those sources. In addition to a keyword search, you can perform side-by-side comparisons of up to three indicators, based on different filters, such as sector, dimension, type, topic, and data source. You can also export the indicator definitions to a format of your choice.

Total number of patients who waited for their first appointment with surgeon after the referral is received by the surgeon’s office or CIAC	Among patients who had a surgery or procedure completed, this indicator measures the number of patients who had wait time measured, that is wait time, in days, from when the surgeon or central intake centre receives the referral to the patient having the first appointment with the surgeon. The indicator is reported by the priority level with the most patients. Total number of patients who were treated with a surgery or procedure	This indicator measures the total number of patients who were treated with a surgery or procedure in Ontario. The number represents the total number of patients who had a decision with their surgeons to proceed with a surgery or procedure and had the surgery or procedure completed. Patients are assigned a priority level for their surgery by the physician based on clinical evidence. Two dose measles coverage among 7-year-olds (percentage)	This indicator measures the percentage of 7-year-olds who have received two valid doses of measles-containing vaccine or have documented evidence of immunity against measles at the conclusion of the school year (August 31st). Valid doses refer to doses of measles-containing vaccine that were given in accordance with the following criteria: First valid dose administered on or after the first birthday and received on the same day or at least 28 days after any preceding live virus vaccine. Second valid dose administered at least 28 days after any preceding measles-containing vaccine (or any other live virus vaccine).
