Welcome to the Ontario Health Indicator Library

The Ontario Health Indicator Library provides a fully searchable library of indicator profiles reported by OH and other entities. The library will feature indicator characteristics, including: the indicator definition, the rationale as to why (or why not) an indicator is reported, technical specifications, alignment information, information about data sources, and links to those sources. In addition to a keyword search, you can perform side-by-side comparisons of up to three indicators, based on different filters, such as sector, dimension, type, topic, and data source. You can also export the indicator definitions to a format of your choice.

Percentage of long-term care home residents without psychosis on antipsychotics in the last 7 days	This indicator measures the percentage of long-term care home residents without psychosis who were given antipsychotic medication in the 7 days preceding their resident assessment. Residents were excluded from this indicator if they had a diagnosis of schizophrenia or Huntington's chorea, experienced hallucinations or delusions, have an end-stage disease or are receiving hospice care. The indicator is calculated as a rolling 4 quarter average. This indicator was jointly developed by interRAI and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI).
