This indicator measures the percentage of patients that require urgent percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and receive it within the recommended maximum wait time target. Wait times were calculated from the day the patient and doctor decided to go ahead with the procedure, to the day it was performed. A higher percentage is better.

ALC patients are those who no longer need acute care services but continue to occupy an acute care bed or use acute care resources while waiting to be discharged to a more appropriate care setting.

The 90th percentile is the maximum length of time in which 9 of 10 patients have completed their ED visit. Exclusion: non-admitted patients Note: This indicator definition is consistent with the Hospital Service Accountability Agreement Performance Measure.
