Comments Detailed
This is an additional QIP indicator for 2017/18. Current performance reporting period: annually. Primary Care Group Practice reports are available to family health teams and CHCs that register. For more information visit www.hqontario.ca/pcreport. Primary care organizations not registered to receive group practice reports will be required to extract data from EMRs. Alternate source is Cancer Care Ontario’s Screening Activity Report (family health teams) and EMRs (all models). For 2017/18, two cervical cancer screening indicators are included as additional indicators. This indicator is consistent with Cancer Care Ontario’s cervical cancer screening indicator. Primary care organizations that have access to Cancer Care Ontario’s Screening Activity Reports (SAR) are encouraged to use this indicator. Health Quality Ontario recommends that primary care organizations select ONE of the cervical cancer screening indicators for their QIP (e.g., either the “up to date” or “completed a Pap in the last 42 months” (CCO) indicator.).
